Elie Saab for H&M: Red-Carpet Glamour Arrives This October

For anyone who has admired an Elie Saab gown on the red carpet but assumed the designer’s world was completely out of reach, October brings an intriguing opportunity.

Elie Saab is collaborating with H&M, with the collection launching October 22, 2026.

Known for exquisite eveningwear, intricate embellishment and unmistakable glamour, the Lebanese designer is bringing his signature aesthetic to a much more accessible price point.

Why I’m Especially Curious About This Collaboration

I have a personal soft spot for Elie Saab. Whenever I’m on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, I always stop at the Elie Saab boutique to admire the pieces and experience the craftsmanship in person.

There is something completely different about seeing the fabrics, embroidery and construction up close. Photographs simply don’t capture all of it.

So, let’s be realistic: we aren’t getting that level of craftsmanship at H&M. This is a high-street collaboration, not couture.

What makes it interesting to me is seeing how Elie Saab’s design language translates into a more accessible collection—and which elements of that unmistakable glamour actually come through.

So I’m definitely curious to see what will be available.

Will an H&M piece give us a little taste of Elie Saab? Let’s see.

What Is the Elie Saab x H&M Collection?

This is a genuine collaboration between Elie Saab and H&M, not simply an H&M collection inspired by the designer.

The approximately 55-piece collection includes womenswear, menswear, accessories and footwear, with a strong emphasis on evening dressing and statement pieces.

The aesthetic is unmistakably Saab: glamorous, feminine and dramatic, with plenty of embellishment and sophisticated tailoring.

Expect:

  • Sequins and intricate embellishment
  • Lace and lace embroidery
  • Dramatic evening silhouettes
  • Tailored pieces
  • Statement accessories
  • Platform shoes and slingbacks
  • Rich, sophisticated colors

The palette centers on midnight black, emerald green and gold, with additional neutrals and rich tones throughout the collection.

While eveningwear is clearly the star, the collection also includes coats, knitwear and separates that can be styled more casually.

Standout Pieces

Among the pieces already revealed are a green-to-black gradient bustier gown, a dramatic gold-to-black sequined blazer, embellished dresses and tailored separates.

One particularly interesting piece is a chocolate-brown sheep-leather jacket that fades into black.

Accessories—including jewelry, bags, belts, scarves and shoes—offer another way to bring the Elie Saab aesthetic into a wardrobe without going all the way into formalwear.

How Much Will It Cost?

The collection is significantly less expensive than Elie Saab’s regular luxury collections, although some pieces are positioned at the higher end of H&M’s pricing.

Reported U.S. prices range from approximately $39.99 to $429.

PieceApprox. U.S. price
Flower choker$39.99
Embellished earrings$59.99
Blouse$89.99
Hoodie$89.99
Top$109
Dress$139
Trousers$169
Jacket$219
Sequined blazer$269
Platform shoes$269
Evening dress$329
Coat$379
Leather jacket$429

Prices vary by market. European prices have been reported from approximately €29.99 to €399, with UK prices beginning around £25.

When and Where Can You Buy It?

The collection launches October 22, 2026, online and at selected H&M stores worldwide.

Not every H&M location will necessarily carry the collection, so online shopping will be particularly important for shoppers who have their eye on a specific piece or size.

How Long Will It Be Available?

The Elie Saab x H&M collection is a limited designer collaboration, not a permanent line.

H&M has not announced a specific end date. Individual pieces will be available while inventory lasts, meaning popular styles and sizes may disappear quickly while less in-demand pieces remain longer.

If you find the perfect piece, waiting for a sale could be risky.

What Makes It Worth Watching?

The appeal isn’t about pretending that an H&M garment is equivalent to an Elie Saab luxury piece. It isn’t.

Instead, this collaboration gives shoppers a chance to explore the visual language of one of fashion’s most recognizable eveningwear designers at a fraction of his usual prices.

And there are plenty of ways to make that work in a real wardrobe.

A sequined blazer with simple trousers. An embellished top with denim. A statement shoe with an otherwise minimalist outfit. Or, for the right occasion, one of those dramatic dresses.

That’s where I think this collaboration could be most successful: not recreating the entire Elie Saab experience, but giving us a small piece of it.
